I've been trying to teach myself Photoshop for interior design mock-ups, and my friend gladly offered up her bedroom here so I could practice.
First, she wanted my thoughts on a new set of sliding doors into her bathroom.
My initial idea was to swap out the double doors for a single, more modern, sliding door
that opens to the right. That way, in addition to removing the window box, this corner would feel more spacious to be able to hang curtains higher and wider.

As far as the rest of the room, her only preference was to keep the bed & the attached bedside tables. And she wants to avoid painting, if possible. I decided to go with an earthy, muted color scheme that would compliment the current wall color.

I swapped out the table lamps for wall sconces, added a rug, throw pillows, bedding, greenery and art work to tie in the color scheme.

Now, I know she said didn't want to paint, but I couldn't resist trying on a pop of green. I added in a woven window shade for texture, as well.

Here is the bathroom door view. But now with the mirror mounted to free up space for additional decor. I went with a floor plant and art.

This is where we started...and this is how we ended!
