quick & easy
overnight oats

5-6 servings

Overnight oats my favorite way. No measuring! Plant-based. Only 5 mins of prep! And good enough to last for several days.

ingredients

rolled oats

cacao powder

chia or flax seeds

maple or agave syrup

cinnamon

nut butter

fruit - fresh or frozen

method

Pull all listed ingredients out of your pantry.

Grab a big bowl and fill it 3/4 of the way with rolled oats.

Cover with your choice of plant-based milk.

Pour just enough to cover all the oats.

Add in the following ingredients: cacao powder, chia or flax seed, maple or agave syrup, cinnamon, a giant spoonful of nut butter, frozen fruit (if doing fresh, wait until the morning).

Stir all the ingredients together. Stick in the fridge overnight. It'll be ready for you when you wake up!

Serve cold or warm.

notes

I promise there is no such thing as adding too much or too little of an ingredient. I usually find myself needing to add more in the morning.

If you are wanting to err on the side of caution, you can definitely wait to add more in the morning.

The biggest reason for letting the oats sit in the fridge overnight is to give time for the chia and oats to soak up the milk.
