not-too-sweet tropical smoothie

makes 2 large servings

Avocado makes up the base of this smoothie. With the addition of hemp seeds and a ton of nutritious spinach, it lends itself more to the "earthy" side of smoothies. It still has a hint of sweetness thanks to added pineapple and summer nectarines!

ingredients

1 large ripe avocado, pitted

2 ripe nectarines, pitted

2-3 heaping handfuls of spinach

2 tbs hemp hearts

2 cups fresh or frozen pineapple

Ice if using fresh pineapple

3-4 cups plant-based milk

method

Add all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth

Pour more or less milk depending on how thick you like your smoothie

Add ice if using fresh pineapple

notes

1 large serving = 1 large 24 oz mason jar

1 small serving = 1 medium sized 12 oz mason jar

I would like to officially dedicate this smoothie to my husband. I swear the man is scared of too much sweetness and bananas  - which is what I usually use as a smoothie base. He texted me after I made this and said "okay this is bomb".... so that's a win for me ;)
